BOTTEGA LOUIE MACARON SUITE
ART DIRECTION, PACKAGING DESIGNBottega Louie is a restaurant, café, and gourmet market located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles and West Hollywood. It is known for its elegant ambiance mixed with a vibrant Southern California charm.
I headed the creation of the macaron tower, Bottega Louie’s macaron option best suited for banquets and events as it provides an eye-catching presentation while being convenient & portable.
I rounded out the rest of the suite by creating a system of 6, 12, & 16 piece macaron boxes that present macarons consistently, replacing the 13 piece box.
BOTTEGA LOUIE BAROQUE MACARON
ART DIRECTION, PHOTOGRAPHY With Bottega Louie’s heavy use of pastels and bright colors, I aimed to bring drama into the fold by incorporating the use of chiaroscuro, creating an almost still-life painting feeling.
BOTTEGA LOUIE SOCIAL MEDIA
ART DIRECTION, PHOTOGRAPHY, MARKETING DESIGNWhen I looked at potential avenues to bring Bottega Louie to life, I chose stop motion as its imperfect charm matches a certain laissez-faire whimsy that Bottega’s eccentric boxes and colorful pastries bring.
I also established a template format for Bottega Louie’s newsletter that we send out once a month.

LOGO & BRAND IDENTITY, ART DIRECTION, CUSTOM TYPOGRAPHY, 2D MOTIONThe California Academy of Sciences is a natural history museum and research institution in San Francisco, featuring an aquarium, planetarium, indoor rainforest, and natural history exhibits under one living, sustainable and eco-friendly roof. I wanted to champion the institution’s research into biodiversity and sustainability through the tree of life motif. The idea that all living beings are connected and share the same world.

LOGO & BRAND IDENTITY, ART DIRECTION, CUSTOM TYPOGRAPHY, ILLUSTRATION The Festival of Philippine Arts & Culture is Southern California’s longest-running and largest Filipino‑American cultural celebration. Exploring the vibrant Filipino heritage through performance, traditional art, and cuisine. I wanted to push recognition of that history through hand-lettering and illustration.LUMINA
TYPE DESIGNLumina sprouted from a daydream, what would digital type look like if our classic conventions were modeled after a script? If International Style was never in style. Frankly, I was on a bit of a obsession with bastarda and gothic at the time, so was born Lumina.
WIP: Lumina 2 is expanding upon the skeleton weight and creating a sans-serif family.
STAIRCASE
TYPE DESIGN
Staircase is my first font and was inspired by Italian humanist typography. Created for an opera house, I chose to add a little more of a dramatic flair with deep cuts into the serif, mimicking the way a pen might draw these letterforms.
